ME to WE is an innovative social enterprise that provides products and experiences that make an impact, empowering people to change the world with their everyday consumer choices. 

How we worked together:

Through an exclusive partnership dating to 2016, ME to WE has worked closely with The Travel Corporation (TTC) by directly embedding and integrating ME to WE’s transformational, community-oriented service trips into the itineraries of seven TTC-owned travel brands. This has allowed ME to WE to harness the incredible reach of TTC while providing each brand’s travellers with an entirely unique experience that truly provides the best of both worlds.

MOVEMBER

About Movember

Movember leads in changing the face of men’s health with the global power of all the Mo Bro’s and Mo Sisters, together helping men take action. 

How we worked together:

Audiences today look for brands to take a stand on important causes and to make positive change in the world and it is with this insight that Contiki partnered with the men’s mental health charity Movember.

The Contiki Marketing Lab produced a video shoot capturing authentic mental health stories which affect the lives of men today.

The campaign rolled out in all global markets with our own TTC teams also helping to fundraise $32,000 for Movember.

VISITBRITAIN

About VisitBritain

As the national tourism board, VisitBritain promotes Britain internationally through the development of building England and Britain’s tourism and visitor economy.

How we worked together:

Partnering with Trafalgar, our campaign aim was to educate consumers that there is more to England then the capital city by showcasing the real connections our guests will experience with locals when they venture out of London on one of our trips.

Focusing on Trafalgar’s Be My Guest experiences, we rolled out a campaign in our leading markets, the USA and Australia that included online display and video advertising, social media, email, print ads and trade training events.

About Portugal Tourism

Portugal Tourism is the national tourism board responsible for the promotion, development and sustainability of tourist activities internationally. 

How we worked together:

Through our long term strategic partnership TTC and Portugal Tourism beginning in 2017, our shared goal was to increasing TTC’s dedicated Portugal product. With ongoing marketing support from the tourism board across both consumer and trade marketing channels, we have significantly grown our presence into Portugal, evident through our increased sales of 29% in the USA. Achieving this allowed Contiki to bring to market a unique, standalone Portugal trip and a newly relaunched exciting Uniworld River Cruise itinerary.

River Island

About River Island

With over 60 years of fashion retailing experience, River Island is one of the most well-known and loved brands on the High Street, known for their affordable and fashionable styles. 

How we worked together:

Through Contiki and River Islands long term strategic partnership, our team traveled to Italy and captured the personal stories of five influencers and the positive effect travel has been on their lives. Utilizing the Contiki Marketing Lab’s content production expertise,  the team created video and photography assets for both brands to promote our partnership.  Our combined efforts resulted in a 12% increase in guests traveling on Contiki’s Italy trips.

How we worked together:

Our timely and exciting partnership with GoPro focuses on travel as a key vertical (specifically Mountains, Water, Activity) – whilst TTC continues to expand its reach via UGC through content (PR, marketing, digital) and social channels.

As a brand, content and product opportunity for everyone, this allows TTC and GoPro to combine passions for travel and human expression that can be captured and shared via travelers, influencers, content creators, and trade partners.

About Céline Cousteau

Céline Cousteau is TreadRight’s Planet Ambassador, and has travelled the world working to help communicate the stories that connect humans and the environment. She is a passionate spokesperson for sustainability.

How we worked together:

Céline Cousteau has been helping TreadRight tell the stories of its inspiring project partners since 2015.
Céline has helped to shed light on various sustainable travel topics, and in 2018 produced two TreadRight Storyteller videos. In India, she visited Wildlife SOS to bring awareness to the unknown perils of elephant riding. In Jordan, she showcased the benefits of community-based tourism through her visit to the Iraq Al-Amir Women’s Cooperative.

She has an incredible understanding and deep appreciation for the symbiotic relationship between travel and how it helps one to develop a true appreciation and respect for the planet. Céline regularly presents on our collective opportunity to make travel matter, and has spoken on behalf of The TreadRight Foundation in New York, Toronto, London and Jordan.

About Sarain Fox

Sarain Fox, TreadRight’s People Ambassador, is a storyteller and activist dedicated to amplifying the voices of her Indigenous community.

How we worked together:

Sarain Fox has been helping TreadRight tell the stories of its inspiring project partners since 2019.
Sarain’s involvement with TreadRight emerged from her work helping to preserve Indigenous culture and stories through the Manitobah Mukluks Storyboot School — The TreadRight Foundation’s first project in North America.

All of Sarain’s work is rooted in her passion to represent and lift up Indigenous people and her commitment to climate justice.

Travel is an essential component of Sarain’s activism and storytelling. Through TreadRight, she is empowering people to recognize the impact they have as they travel and to make that impact a positive one. Sarain believes that everything we do in our lives should contribute to positive change.

“One of my biggest passions is cultural revitalization. I love supporting artists and keeping Indigenous arts alive. My involvement with TreadRight really came through my work around preservation of culture and stories, which aligns with the work they do in their People pillar, supporting communities and cultures through economic empowerment. The TreadRight Foundation’s first-ever project in North America was the Manitobah Mukluks Storyboot School, one of my longest-standing partnerships. There, we help rematriate the craft by hiring local Indigenous artists to lead classes for Indigenous youth and visitors. TreadRight really made it possible for me to further our work and create a more enriched partnership.”

About Ami Vitale

Ami Vitale, TreadRight’s Wildlife Ambassador, is an award-winning National Geographic photographer and filmmaker whose journey has taken her to over 100 countries. She has witnessed civil unrest and violence, but also surreal beauty and the enduring power of the human spirit.

How we worked together:

Ami Vitale joined TreadRight as its Wildlife Ambassador in 2020.

Ami uses her platform to tell the stories integral to our future: the stories about the human condition and its connection to the natural world.

She is an advocate for wildlife conservation and believes that without their existence, all of humanity suffers. Her work in conservation aligns with TreadRight’s Wildlife initiatives including its work with rhino, elephant, and leopard populations across Africa and India.

We are excited to join forces with Ami to tell the wildlife stories that matter most on our mission to make travel matter.

About Callie Thorpe

Callie is the founder of Confidence Corner – an inclusive community platform and podcast that focuses on stories around confidence and self-love. She is also a travel photographer, speaker and self-love advocate.

How we worked together:

Callie is a friend of Contiki, focusing on body confidence while traveling.

We’ve collaborated with Callie on many of creative travel projects, including sharing her experiences on our safari trip to South Africa and travelling as a solo female on our Eternal India trip.

Our long-term partnership also means we’re collaborating on exciting future projects focusing on fashion and inclusivity.

About Meg Cale

Meg is an LGBT rights activist and editor in chief of Every Queer –an inclusive global community inspiring people of the queer community to seek travel adventures. She has also been consulting and speaking about LGBTQ issues at conferences and events for the last 13 years.

How we worked together:

Meg is our LGBT ambassador and has worked with Contiki on creative storytelling missions for The Travel Project (Contiki’s story-telling platform).

Meg has investigated the safety and challenges for LGBT travelers in countries such as Egypt and Africa, and written content for our online magazine, six-two on LGBT-focused topics.

Meg has also represented Contiki at LGBT travel industry events.
