TreadRight’s stength lies in our partners. We maintain that our greatest opportunity to make an impact is building up community-based experts who know precisely what their home needs. We work to identify existing organizations and provide them with financial support and business coaching to increase their chances of success.
OUR CORE PILLARS
At TreadRight, we are committed to encouraging the cultures, traditions and arts of the communities we visit to thrive. We seek to enable places to see the true benefit of tourism through economic empowerment. We do this through our support of micro-enterprises, and community-based tourism initiatives that build positive futures for community members and their families.
The world’s wildlife population is balancing on a dangerous precipice, so it is our responsibility to protect those species most at risk. Partnering with leading wildlife organisations, we work to protect and rehabilitate elephant, rhino and big cat populations around the world, while also educating our guests on ethical wildlife experiences.
We’ve committed to eliminating all unnecessary SUP’s in our offices and on the road by 2022. Our e-docs initiative empowers our guests to receive travel documents digitally and have a tree planted in their name. Our fleet of coaches are some of the most efficient in Europe, thanks to the Euro 6 engine.
TreadRight has supported more than 55 sustainable tourism projects to date. This support is provided through donations and grants to leading partners across the sustainable travel spectrum. These projects all fall under the three pillars of TreadRight: Planet, People, Wildlife.
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a call to action for governments, businesses and society to address today’s most pressing sustainable development issues. TreadRight has identified 9 SDGs where The Travel Corporation can make the most impact and align with these goals through our upcoming strategy, How we Tread Right: 2025.
