Trafalgar Celebrates Canada 150 Festivities with an Exclusive Itinerary

Travellers will enjoy special access to Canada Day festivities in Ottawa and across four confederate provinces and Prince Edward Island

In celebration of the nationwide Canada 150 festivities, Trafalgar the leader of guided vacations has created this special customized itinerary to showcase the scenic beauty of Canada through the four original confederate provinces of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia with a visit to Prince Edward Island. From the thundering cascades of Niagara Falls to the world’s highest tides in the Bay of Fundy, this one-time departure also includes exclusive access to the biggest Canada Day festivities ever celebrated in the nation’s capital!

From June 28th to July 8th, 2017 guests will unwind on this 11-day, nine-city itinerary, kick starting with a fun Welcome Reception in Toronto and meeting like-minded travel companions. They will enjoy an excursion to visit the breathtaking Niagara Falls before taking an exhilarating boat ride to the base of spectacular Horseshoe Falls.

Trafalgar’s guests will travel onwards to Canada’s first capital, Kingston, and continue to the picturesque village of Montebello for a relaxing two-night stay at the world class Fairmont Le Château Montebello resort renowned for its rustic but luxurious accommodations and an extensive history of attracting Canadian celebrities and politicians including several Prime Ministers. They will savour a gastronomic Québec dinner infused with the French heritage way of cooking.

On July 1st, travellers will embark on an introductory tour of Ottawa including viewing the historical buildings of Parliament Hill, Rideau Hall and the residence of the Governor General. They will also enjoy special access to the spectacular Canada Day 150 celebrations.

The next day, guests will travel to Montreal, the most festive city in Canada which is celebrating its 375th anniversary in 2017 with numerous birthday bashes. They will enjoy Instagram-worthy views of Mont Royal where a Local Specialist will introduce them to the city’s historic sites including the stunning Notre Dame Basilica. They will enjoy a dinner in the Old Port with its famous cobbled stone streets, boutique shops and cafes.

Travellers will taste their way around eastern Canada including an exclusive Be My Guest dining experience in Charlottetown and sample local specialties. They will enjoy traditional Prince Edward Island cuisine and fruit preserves at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company. Flanked by herb gardens, flower beds and riverside vistas, host Bruce McNaughton speaks about the agriculture of the island and will demonstrate the preserve production process.

Book lovers will be delighted to visit the Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place. They will journey to New Brunswick and visit the rugged Hopewell Rocks in the Bay of Fundy and arrive in Saint John in the evening and take a leisurely ferry ride to Digby the next morning.

Trafalgar’s guests will celebrate the end of their journey in the vibrant port city of Halifax where they will have free time to explore the sites such as the Maritime Museum and the massive Citadel.  They will experience Authentic Accommodations at the legendary Lord Nelson Hotel and Suites which was built in 1928 and the city’s most historic hotel.  On their last evening, they will enjoy a Cultural Insight and visit to one of the oldest breweries, Alexander Keith’s brew house and taproom. Lively toasts will be made during their Regional Meal of traditional Maritime pub cuisine and drinking some of the best Canadian brews.

Clients have only up to April 28th to book this exclusive departure. $4,965 CAD* per person, double occupancy land and internal flight. Single supplement is $1,870 CAD* and includes all taxes and service charges.
